Due to the lasting impacts of the global Covid-19 pandemic, the committee of the SSC / SSCS Annual Meeting 2021 has decided to change the congress format to a fully digital meeting. The new format addresses the uncertainities on safety restrictions, travelling and the herewith associated planning difficulties. This decision was not taken lightly. However, the highest priority of the SSC and the committee is to hold the congress this year and to ensure the continued forum of discussion and learning that the congress provides.

Given the new digital format, the scientific programme of the SSC / SSCS Annual Meeting 2021 will be adapted in order to fulfil the needs of our virtual audience.
The Swiss Society of Cardiology, the Swiss Society of Cardiac Surgery, their partner societies, and their scientific committee are making great efforts to work out an attractive programme, and the new structure will be updated on the conference-website as soon as possible.

At its core, this year's conference will provide educational content that is contemporary, accessible and definitive. It will provide online opportunities for networking, debate, engagement as well as possibilities to exchange with industry partners to find out the most recent developments in the field of pharmaceutical and medtech sector. Furthermore, all submitted abstracts will be honored and presented in an appropriate setting. Further information on this will be made available on the conference-website shortly.
