Speaker Information

Important information for Speakers & Abstract Presenters

Audiovisual information for your presentation

The AV team at the SSC/SSCS Annual Meeting 2025 would like to help you make sure your presentation is a success. Presentations are becoming increasingly sophisticated and demanding, hence a certain amount of technical advice is necessary in order to minimise the potential technical risks. We use the latest generation of professional equipment for your presentation. To ensure that you can make optimum use of this, we have set out the a few tips and advice for you, which you can find within the Audiovisual Information Sheet (AV Sheet).

Presentation language and slides

Official languages for presentations will be German, French and English. In sessions with native English speakers without German or French knowledge, English is the preferred language.
Exception: Abstract presentations must always be given in English.

Kindly note that the SSC/SSCS Annual Meeting does not provide a template for the presentations. Please be aware that all slides must be prepared in English (independent of the presentation language) and make sure to add a slide with a disclosure of potential conflicts of interests at the beginning of your presentation. Other than that, there are no further preconditions.

Speaker Service Center

The Speaker Service Center (SSC) serves as acceptance point for all the presentations.
It is located in the “Boardroom” on the ground floor, right at the main entrance and is signposted accordingly within the congress center.

Our experienced technicians check each presentation for format, correct representation, smooth animations and working videos. The equipment at the acceptance point is the same as the equipment in the lecture rooms. Once the lectures have been checked, they are transmitted to the corresponding session rooms via the internal network and will be started on the presentation PC there.

Be aware that speakers are not allowed to use their own laptops in any lecture rooms.

Thus, all speakers and oral abstract presenters are requested to hand in their presentations via USB compatible memory stick or via your own laptop at the SSC at least 90 minutes before the respective session starts.

Opening hours of the SSC are:

  • Wednesday, 04 June 2025: 07.30 - 18.00
  • Thursday, 05 June 2025: 07.30 - 18.30
  • Friday, 06 June 2025: 07.30 - 15.00

Peak hours of operation in the Speaker Service Centre are during coffee breaks and lunch breaks. In order to maximise your time in the Speaker Service Centre, and the attention that we are able to give you, we highly recommend visiting early in the morning or during the sessions.
